my coolest obsession, part i

so, tomorrow i get to tackle this…

it’s the drain of my a/c. last summer it started to leak after i got the coil pulled and scrubbed, and i was able to stave it off with that flex seal crap that you see on tv:

that’s a close-up of the black goop around the elbow joint, and the white you see is paper towels trying to soak up what can be soaked up. but it moved ever so slightly, and apparently “FLEX-seal” isn’t too FLEXible, so the leak started and anything i’ve tried (which was basically just adding more of the black goop, later added to with silicone) only made it worse, so tomorrow morning i’m stripping it all the way down and seeing what i can do…

…think hopeful (and dry) thoughts!
