some marketing ploys i just don’t get…
…and this is one of ’em:
the new black cheeseburgers at burger king in japan. from what i understand the black is achieved on the bun with burnt bamboo added in, black pepper in the burger, and yet more bamboo in the black cheese…or possibly squid ink in the latter, which is also in the sauce to complete the burger of blackness.
what i don’t get is WHY?!?!?
i really find it hard to believe that japanese youth…or ANYBODY in the country, for that matter, would have a jones for fucking black cheese. or black bread. all i can figure is somebody heard:
“japanese youth are in to all things black and american”, which of course meant:
and
but they took it the wrong way? or is this a new thing? shit, i just remember backyard grilling at friends and if the buns and cheese were black it meant somebody’s step-dad drank too much while grilling and burnt the shit but didn’t want it to go to waste…kinda like the fajita pork at my juneteenth bbq volumes viii – xi.
i guess we’ll see if black fries come next?
