three block thursday

it’s about fuckin’ time…

…and i’ll explain myself here.

a while back i did a bit about how everything had become a subscription, and one of the ones that surprised me was car air freshener. i never woulda guessed that set up a monthly mailer, but it did. the problem (not problem) was the air fresheners were really good, and as a result tended to last a bit longer than a month. so i’d get a new one in, not really need it, and set the bag aside as it had three scent soaked blocks of wood in it, one for each vehicle (hence, the title of today’s bit).

when the rides started having issues, and my physical issues were preventing me from dealing with it all, i told myself i could only swap the blocks when all three cars were back on the road, and i cancelled the subscription in the mean time. it was actually really simple, unlike a supplement i got locked in on and still can’t figure out how to cancel, so i just keep postponing it. speaking of…

(leaves to push off shipment for seventeenth time and invariably comes up with wheel graphic idea above and takes way too long to accomplish it – but also pushed off shipment)>/em>

so, at play was grey in all this. m goes out on the road on the daily (and will be getting front brakes and air filter done this week), and betty had recently made it out after being off the road since august of 2025 or so, but i didn’t realize how long it had been since grey went out. i did do an oil and filter change and topped off all his fluids, so he was road worthy in that respect, but had two tires with leaky valve stems. i had to find his current registration just so i didn’t have an extra reason to get pulled over, and got him on the road on two totally air-free tires for a jaunt to a used tire place here in town. sixty bucks later he had two new(ish) run flat tires and two new valve stems. brought him back and took betty out, after taking os to work in m.

BOOM – all three were road worthy again…so i updated their air fresheners. still have one pack of unused ones i’ll use in another month or two, then i might have to pick some new scents and resubscribe.
