i mean, technically monday is the “number two” day of the week, right?
i think it was ron white who once postulated “have you ever taken a crap so big your pants fit better?”
i just experienced such a phenomenon. it’s sunday number six of not doing the yard as i write this. in my defense the first four misses were due to it being to muddy or it actually raining at the time, which is why it looks so bad now. the last two have just been from physical exhaustion due to work versus my physical issues of late.
but back to the shit – i try to make sure at least one meal a week has a decent sized salad attached. i figure it’s the least i can do for my gut health. yeah, the meal might have a big burger, but it will also have a salad, and maybe even a vegetable side. does that balance out a week of tacos and such? not really – but it gives me the illusion of a somewhat healthier diet than i’d feel like i had without it. typically this happens on saturdays before i go out on the route, as it did this week. a decent salad, a burger, and street corn were the meal of choice.
to say that meal appeared to clear out my gi tract is a bit of an understatement. i blame the salad…and the street corn. both were…ahem…present and accounted for, as it were. these are the days i’m really leaning towards those at home blood tests just to see if it flags some kinda spiked white cell count indicating i have bigger health issues than i realize. right now i’m thinking all my issues are muscular and fixable. i guess we’ll see.
it’s amazing to me how the christian folk are all about “religious freedom” as long as it’s the freedom for everyone to follow THEIR religion.
they claim to be persecuted.
they claim to be beaten down.
by whom, exactly?
last i checked it was a bible, with no other options other than ‘not’, as what your “sworn in” on for political office, for court testimony, etc. there are more churches than literally anything else in most towns other than homes. celebrities from the worlds of sports to music to politics thank jesus or god or some christian entity when they win awards or accolades. shit, even the no-tell motels have bibles in the nightstands.
if i hit the lottery i will personally start a charity for the purpose of putting the koran, the torah, the book of mormon, and the satanic bible in every high school library in texas that doesn’t already have them (which i’ll bet 99.999% don’t). i’ll be the first to admit that there is nothing in the constitution about separation of church and state, so technically melding the two a bit isn’t really, by definition, “unconstitutional”.
but it does literally kick off with a call for no government mandated religion…
…so if they’re gonna just put their shit out there under the guise of “religious freedom”, let’s show that all the “good books” have equal footing to prove it. having the same sect that killed off millions (i’ll take “the crusades” for $200, alex…) and who are the only ones who refer to their deity as “the one true god” claim their people have been persecuted or discriminated is laughable, and they claim that while they only put their book out there, that they’re not denying the other religions their due. some one needs to cross check that, and i figure this is a great way to do it.
