i was neither

so, yesterday i flashed back to clubbing days by rocking some early 1990’s denim shorts…

while they were older than my co-workers, and were still a bit fitted in the thigh they were loose enough in the waist i had to wear a belt, which i didn’t have to do, so that feels pretty good since i was twenty-one when i bought em and i’m fifty now. but what i did forget is that they’re a bit high waisted, which is a current trend, but i have to second a statement i’ve heard attributed to sarah silverman:

“if you think you look good in high-waisted pants you’re either high, or you’re waisted”

touché.

still felt good to fit in denim shorts i bought thirty years prior and have the waist be loose.
