it’s high time for happy hour

well, it was bound to happen…

…but i didn’t see it coming, i will admit.

so, a new convenience store opened up near the house less than a year ago. one of my first treks there i saw this stuff in the cooler. the next trip i noticed they had big advertisements for it in the front window. then i started seeing it on social media feeds (ads, that is – not anyone i know touching the stuff) but a lot of my feed has gone the weed route lately. the new angle, though? they’re pitching it as a more healthy (or, at least, less dangerous) alternative to alcohol…

this “weed water” (literally my title for the image i sent myself) tastes like flat LaCroix, is sweetened with stevia, and contains 20mg of delta-9 thc and 10mg of cbd, all allegedly hemp derived. it kicked in after about thirty minutes, and rode out for several hours (most of which i was asleep since i wasn’t sure how it’d kick so i drank it at bedtime). while, i guess, it’s an alternative to the real thing or some of the delta-9 gummies i’ve had, it’s a bit pricey. i pay around $30 for a tub of 30 gummies (easy dose math there) but one can of this stuff is $7.50.

i can now say i’ve tried it. at least the passion fruit indica one. not sure if i’ll spring for the blood orange sativa one in the name of science.
