i don’t blame the teachers on this one

teachers are overworked, underpaid, and deserving of a better world…

…this i know. ’cause my mom was one in the sixties, seventies, eighties, and nineties – and while the names, faces, and administrators changed the overworked and underpaid thing never changed…so, from where i’m sitting, if you get into the educational gig and expect this to NOT happen to you after it’s been going on all these years you’re either too sheltered to educate young people or too stupid.

perhaps a mixture of both. let’s move on, as this is NOT about teacher mistakes…

a teacher was recently fired from a houston private school for encouraging other kids to hit a five-year old child in the face.

“what the fuck?”, should be the universal response to that statement.

what’s (more than) kinda fucked up is this is the SECOND teacher in SIX WEEKS to be fired for encouraging other children to punch this same five-year old little boy. but the parents blame the school system…

…go figure.

a community activist in houston named something “x” was on the story. here’s a note for all my black readers – NOBODY in this country, save for the ignorant, will take you seriously when you want to be called “something ‘x'”. not since malcolm x. HE we took seriously. he was a great community leader. the rest of you just look stupid, or in desperate need of a record deal to get your hip-hop out to the masses.

but, again, i digress…

…if your kid has gotten two teachers fired for encouraging other kids to punch him maybe…just MAYBE…you need to get that boy into therapy. don’t drug him up, as most of you modern gutless parents like to do (i refer to you as “gutless” ’cause you expect some kind of magic pill that permanently alters the mental development of your child to do your parenting for you). i’ve never been a teacher (have considered it, but would skew my kids a bit older if i did) but i dare say step ONE in disciplining a bullying little turd is probably not having the other kids hit him while you watch over it. pretty sure that’s not even in the top five steps. some teacher was pushed a bit TOO far for that to have taken place, i’ll wager…

…and for it to happen twice in six weeks? well…DAMN!

so, to the houstonian who is now pulling her child from private school, drop the little bastard into PUBLIC school and let him try those little outbursts – when he gets his ass kicked a few times without teacher sanction (which will happen more in public than private school) i dare say he’ll learn to calm down…or become a more proficient fighter, and become the youngest scrapper in the UFC, making you tons of cash, till he gets his life all controversial ditching his real name for something more muslim by hanging out with that whats-his-nuts “x” guy again.

on second thought, just smack him more at home when he fucks up. that’ll learn him. and as kim fields (i.e. “tootie” from the facts of life) would say that’s…
