rockstar hassle

i did a recent bit about my missing rockstar energy drinks…

…which, i’d like to add, at the time i’m writing this (sunday morning, feb 8th) are still missing. at least, at a reasonable price. i can get a twelve pack that used to run under $25 for just under twice that amount if i wanna, but at almost four bucks a can that seems excessive.

i ordered an alternative flavor recently, and got em in, but now looking the price on those is up another ten bucks a twelve pack (i’d paid $36 all in, now they’re $45 and some change).

to add insult to injury, i recently got a “reminder to buy” email from amazon for the first time, which i found odd at the time, but nik says she gets them often. apparently if you regularly order something from amazon and then stop, the almighty machine notices and hits you up about it. i only have one “regular order” with them, but if you look at the order quantity you’ll see it’s pretty fuckin’ regular…

a day later i got another email from them about my subscribe and save – i’d forgotten that the last time i ordered, there was a really significant discount (eight bucks) if you set it up on “subscribe and save”, but of course now they can’t fulfill the subscription as they don’t have it. so they emailed to tell me i need to alter my selection so they can make money off me.

no, y’all need to get in the shit i ordered!

so, i guess this part of the saga is far from over…

**UPDATE** – so, since this was written i’ve gotten two more emails (same day) letting me know there’s “a delivery delay” (because you can’t deliver what ya ain’t got) and a “problem with my cart” (because they can’t process a purchase for what they ain’t got). i’ve heard from twelve step friends that the first step is admitting you have a problem, so i guess now amazon can move on to step two?
