clean yo self…right after this!

i’m kind of ashamed of mike judge…

…because he never came up with this.

they’re testing out new toilet paper dispensers in china where by, when you need some, you have to scan a qr code and watch an ad in order to get the tissue. this is supposed to cut down on waste. right. sure. i guess it makes people sit there a bit longer to get less than they usually use? seems like it would create lines for the bathroom more than it would save the environment or a few yen or whatever the real underlying purpose is.

if you don’t wanna watch the ad you have to pay for the paper. but what if you’re phone’s dead? or you lost it? or you don’t have spare change? well, for now, you’d be ass out…literally. apparently this isn’t their first time to do this…a park there back in 2017 had facial recognition dispensers that forced a nine minute wait between spitting out the squares. yeah, that’s not gonna drag things out.

ages ago certain places here started installing ads over the urinals and on the back of stall doors so regardless on whether nature called on “line 1” or “line 2” (as it were) they could try and sell you SOMETHING. i wonder if we’re too far behind on this?
