remember those kids in high school that said, “when will i ever need to know this stuff in real life…seriously?”

…well, apparently our rolling excuse for a governor is one of those kids, having completely (as so many have), not grasping how tariffs work.

he says, after the election the other night of a democratic muslim candidate, that he will impose a “100% tariff on anyone who moves to texas from nyc”. i wonder how that works? tariffs on what, exactly? if they show their i.d. at h-e-b to they get charged regular price for hill country fare shit? we can’t up the price of brisket anymore than it is unless we start using gold leaf for the bark. and then there’s the whole “congress has to approve tariff’s and what COUNTRY they apply to”, and with NYC, you know, being in the same country as us, that wouldn’t work, ignoring the fact that abbott isn’t congress and doesn’t have that right.
