so, i’d talked about it, realized there was three potential results, and did it…
…i went on a bike ride.
the ride of choice today was a 2004 redline 24″ bmx bike, which is smaller than a standard frame. as a result, with my slightly limiting flexibility issues, i could sit, or i could pedal, but i couldn’t really do both as it forced my knees to do unpleasant shit.
the goal today was a mile and the goal was achieved, and i got result “a”. i went into this acknowledging there were three possible results:
a. no real change
b. i suddenly feel flexible again!
c. oh fuck, it made it worse.
on the upside, not “c”. on the downside, not “b”. but i finally did it, so next time i’ll do it on a different bike (i think i’ll do the big tire as i should be able to sit on that one without my knees being forced outwards as it’s a full sized frame) and we’ll see. yard work and tons of car projects in between, so we shall see.
