okay, i get it…

…he masquerades as the “america first” president (when in reality he’s the “trump first” president) and so we have the images of this orange skinned, game show host haired imbecile hugging the flag and shit. and then he, inexplicably, thinks he can just do anything with an executive order (not the way it works), and so he renames an international body of water (news flash – he has as much right to do that as you or i do), and then gets upset when people to play the game by his rules and call it “the gulf of america”.

let’s not mince words – you fuckers elected a child:

so you have to expect childish behavior…but you also get childish level knowledge.

*fun fact – most presidential speeches are written at an eighth grade level so most adults can understand them. his have such broader appeal because they are written at a fourth grade level because that’s what he can actually read, and it also fits his target demo*

what i’m getting at – a lot of the current red had crowd doesn’t realize is we don’t live in “america”, we live in “the united states of america”, because there are many americas. north america (us, canada), central america (mexico, panama, etc), and finally south america (brazil, argentina, nicaragua, etc).

i feel a compromise could me made with one additional letter, but i doubt mexico would go for it and, honestly, they have the right of refusal seeing as how it was named after them some four hundred years ago. i mean, i know the current administration was trying to roll back the clock to some mythical golden age, i just don’t think any of us realized it was the time of the conquistadors – but wouldn’t that make where i’m sitting right now mexico, any way? moving on…

couldn’t we call it the “gulf of americas”, or, more properly, “the gulf of the americas”? it’s accurate, seeing as how the united states and mexico share almost equal percentages of the shoreline (in their defense, when the water was named, they had a much larger percentage because, as i mentioned, this was mexico, too) and it would shut agent orange up. just a thought…
