it’s almost that time again

one week from today we “spring forward”…

…but why?

we’re not an agrarian society any more. we have no reason to “get up with the chickens”. and in this, arguably the most politically divided time in our history, it’s something we all actually agree on. in 2022 a bill to eliminate it passed the senate UNANIMOUSLY.

when’s the last time you heard of that happening?

i never thought i’d say this, but i agree with trump and all of ’em on this whole “lock the clock” thing. i have friends on both sides of the aisle, including some that would be happier if we just set the aisle and both sides of it ablaze. and you know what i’ve never heard from any of them? ever? in over half a century of life?

FUCK YEAH – I GET TO TURN MY CLOCKS FORWARD THIS WEEKEND!

no one i know gets too excited about turning em backwards, either. it’s just a pointless pain we all do because…well…we always have.

but we don’t have to.

i’ll grant you, this is probably one promise of many that won’t get kept from the campaign trail. i mean, it doesn’t benefit billionaires, so why would they care? how do we get this “common person issue” to be a priority? i’ve figured it out – i just need you to help me get this image viral:

the thought of congress actually completing a task in a week is daunting, so i figure if they think the LGBT community is all sorts of in support of it, they’ll go after it in a heartbeat, right? if this doesn’t get them to act, nothing will. #LGBDST for the win!
