i’ll tell you why i chose this one…

…because the title of the bit below, ironically, was the first thing i said when i woke up this morning. and then i randomly needed a flashback, decided to go with eleven years ago, and look what we got:

…the bottom line is, it’s bullshit.

no, the ufc and i haven’t broken up. far from. the wedding is still scheduled for november 14th of this year. and thanks to her, i even feel like this should be the first valentine’s day i don’t rock my usual shirt of cupid face down with and arrow in his ass (which should have a picture below but none apparently exists?)

for the reason i think this is a bullshit holiday – if you’re really in love, and all is well, then every day is pretty much a celebration of it, and you don’t need a day with a special menu or roses that were $25 a dozen yesterday that are $100 a dozen today or heart-shaped pizza to show somebody you love them. you should show them daily…

…that being said, i’ll bet the ufc and her son order a heart-shaped pizza tonight while i’m at work.

moving on…

…so my shirt is retired, and all is well in my world this (as it’s been dubbed on facebook) “reminder that you’re single day”. whether you think it’s a real thing or made-up shit to sell greeting cards or whatever the fuck, if you’re alone don’t be upset – a good chunk of the world is, and even bigger chunk is with a special somebody they wish would do a header off a cliff. me? i’ll be at work, so i just did a little pop-by the ufc’s office when she got off work and gave her a pearl necklace* in the parking lot…

*not to disappoint my readership, but i meant literally a necklace made from oyster drippings, not from my own…
