i guess it’s the white place to be?

every now and again, i get why people get uppity about the whole “racism” in the past thing…

…and while i read the history, i’m just surprised this place still exists. with this name, i mean.

remember how i mentioned in a recent sixer about all the options we have for vanity plates in this state? well one of the options we DON’T have is rebel flag vanity plates as they were deemed racist. i actually kinda get that – i mean, i understand the whole “pride over prejudice” argument, but just like the swastika being used for thousands of years before the nazi folk got ahold of it and it being a symbol of peace or enlightenment prior to the misuse of it, it’s forver tainted. it’s like a piece of paper – once you crumple it up, it can never be perfect and fresh like it was before.

so how the fuck does this town still have this name? not that it offends me, i’m just sayin’…

…and if it’s to be taken literally their high school must get it’s ass HANDED to them in football and basketball!
