k,i thought i’d done this topic, but couldn’t find it anywhere…
…and i KNOW i didn’t do a sixer on it. in theory they’ll be a comment at the bottoms showing which way this went. i theory communism works. ask castro how THAT worked out for him.
moving on…
i was just blown away with what they charge for vanity plates in the state of texas. it used to be they just looked like the other plates, save for the cute expressions, and it ran double what plates ran – at the time normal plates (registration included) were sixty-five bucks. vanity plates were an additional fifty or seventy; i don’t remember which.
now they’re an additional TWO HUNDRED for a year. you get “a break” for multiple years, with three years running five hundred, and five years running you six hundred. but if i’m gonna make that kind of time and monetary commitment, i want it to be super cool – but also super long lasting. so i don’t think i’ll steal my bosses idea:
which is actually not available anyway. i could, however, go with leo’s idea:
but that, again, would imply i’m still “in the industry” (plate is still available in case you ARE in the industry and want to drop the coin), which i’d love to be but the pay thus far makes that kind of a crap shoot. the artists and owners bank…me? not so much. i’m living on a bit less than a half of what i used to, so i don’t know how much longer i can run things this tight.
that being said, the title does imply you can get “da whore” as a plate, but that’s seven characters, so the closest you can get is…
which kind of implies you love my site, and kind of implies you fuck for money – more the latter than the former. i guess it depends on what type of attention you want at stop lights. hell, the state of texas might even not let it REALLY happen (hence why it’s still “available”) ’cause they don’t let anything that seems remotely obscene get used. now, if you do want seven digits in texas you have to use there “t is for texas” plates, which means the first of your seven is a “t”, so i came up with this:
which is cool, but would probably make getting out of a dwi pull over a little tough. no, i think i’ll treat vanity plates like name tattoos – make it yours or nothing else, so while i THOUGHT i’d have to settle for this:
i found that the plate i really wanted was still available, (at least at the time i’m writing this bit) so i should have this one on the car, if not on lawaway, by the time you’re reading this (approximately sixty days after it’s being written):
much more me, huh?
