won’t get fooled again

wow – as i was starting to type this it happened again…

…and hopefully nothing got fucked up.

this bit should more realistically be titled “wasn’t fooled in the first place”, and i appear to (so far) be cool…but earlier when i was hopping around from ebay to yahoo or something (no torrents or porn is ever done on this computer, i should add) i had this window pop up talking about how my computer was infected with malware or some such shit and what APPEARED to be a “My Computer” screen popped up with a virus/trojan/malware counter on it that showed how my computer was essentially the dell equivalent of a syphilitic whore – and showed where to click to fix the problem…

…then it occurred to me – why would a “My Computer” screen open in firefox?

so i exited, but it attempted to stop me asking if i was sure i wanted to leave my computer in such an infected state – even after the browser was closed…that’s some well written nastass software. i got it closed out, ran my AVG through a full scan, and came up clean…

…but then when i was going to open an extra tile as i was starting to write this (to play clock blocks, my latest gaming addiction) it popped up again and i was afraid i hit “ENTER” as i was trying to bring up the game but i got it closed fast, ran another scan, and appear to be cool…this all seems to come about ever since google started re-directing my image searches to various bootleg movie sites and such – anybody else having these issues?
