i’m sure there’s some super fan, somewhere, that will want this for their holiday:

but while it is a stellar album, a TEN LP version might be a bit much. for some bands that’s more than their entire catalog, and this is ONE FUCKING RECORD? i mean, it does have thirty-five previously unreleased tracks, twenty-three of which were studio cuts (the others live tracks – a complete concert on LP, and an additional one of DVD) but for fucks sake – we serious here? what’s scary is 1999 did well commercially…but NOTHING compared to what purple rain did. shit, that one even got us the “parental advisory” sticker when all the dust settled.

how many discs they gonna wedge in that motha phuka, you reckon?
