four wheeled crack

the problem with me buying a car…

…a car to me is like a kid to most of you. it’s not just the INITIAL investment – it’s all the residuals.

was good on friday. nothing dropped on friday ‘cept for the money the car cost itself. than another $20 in stuff at autozone on saturday (some of which will be used on the brake job on the camaro in a week or two so that makes it okay). sunday was free and clear, but monday was it’s first tank of gas (almost $60 for fifteen gallons of premium unleaded, which the manual promises me nazi death if i use the cheaper shit) than today was $40 for a detail. oh, wait – sunday WASN’T free as i dropped $55 to replace the busted ass ashtray at the rear of the center console. tomorrow could easily be a $40 replacement for the cupholder if i order it, but i might put that off just so i feel i waited a few days between dropping more money…

…and so it begins. this is before we tackle the $2,000 wishlist i worked up on the computer, which doesn’t count the $75 i dropped on an ipod adapter which ships tomorrow, so that will hit the bank account then, so that makes another chunk o’ change tomorrow.

i need to slow this down, as i DID set aside money for home shit, and you know you’re becoming domesticated in your old age when you get all giddy about finding an open box deal on an in-wall oven…and weighing the pros and cons of having an vent hood microwave over a regular one…
